Aircall is a cloud phone and AI voice agent platform built for call-heavy teams, with plans listed at $30 (Essentials) and $50 (Professional) per license per month billed annually, a three-license minimum, and AI minutes billed by usage. The main Aircall alternatives are other sales and support call platforms, general cloud phone systems, all-in-one local-business platforms and AI answering tools. Sales and support teams that live in a CRM often fit Aircall well; local businesses that need reminders, reviews and payments may fit an all-in-one platform better.
Key takeaways
- Aircall lists Essentials at $30 and Professional at $50 per license per month billed annually ($40 and $70 billed monthly), with a three-license minimum on both.
- Aircall plans include 50 AI Voice Agents minutes a month; more is billed at $0.49 a minute pay-as-you-go or in prepaid bundles such as 500 minutes for $175.
- Aircall is built for sales and support call teams: CRM sync, a power dialer, queue callback, whispering and live monitoring are its home ground.
- Aircall competitors fall into four groups: sales and support call platforms, general cloud phone systems, all-in-one local-business platforms and AI answering tools.
- Talos Connect suits local businesses that want phones, texting, reminders, reviews, payments and an AI receptionist in one system, but it has no CRM integrations yet.
- Price the whole job, including AI minutes, texting and add-ons, on the same billing term for every vendor.
If you are researching Aircall alternatives, first decide whether you run a call team or a front desk. Aircall is a cloud phone system with AI voice agents, built around sales and support teams that work from a CRM or help desk. Businesses look elsewhere when they are a local office that needs appointment reminders, reviews and payments alongside the phones, when the three-license minimum does not suit a small team, or when they want to compare AI receptionist pricing. The main alternatives are other sales and support call platforms, general cloud phone systems, all-in-one local-business platforms and AI answering tools.
A note on fairness. Talos Connect competes in this market, so treat this as one vendor's guide. Every Aircall price and feature below comes from Aircall's own website as we read it on October 12, 2026. Aircall changes its plans, so confirm the details with Aircall before you decide.
What is Aircall?
Aircall describes itself as an AI-powered customer communications platform that brings together voice agents, automated workflows and real-time coaching. In practice, it is a cloud phone system, meaning business calling over the internet through desktop and mobile apps, combined with AI that can answer, route and place calls.
Aircall's website organizes its solutions by team, including sales, support, customer success, RevOps and IT, and by industry. Its Essentials plan is described as a "business phone system and customer conversations in one workspace, synced to your CRM." That phrase sums up who it is for: teams whose day runs through a CRM or help desk, where every call should be logged, routed by account owner and reviewed by a manager.
The core features listed on Aircall's pricing page include:
- Calling and routing. IVR menus, business-hours routing, ring groups, call queuing and, on Professional, smart routing that uses live data from your CRM or help desk plus queue callback.
- Outbound tools. On Professional, a Power Dialer that works through up to 1,000 imported numbers and outbound call campaigns with automated retries.
- Coaching and oversight. Call whispering, barge and live monitoring on Professional.
- Messaging. SMS and MMS and a shared inbox, with WhatsApp available as an add-on.
- AI. Call recordings and AI transcripts on Essentials, and AI call summaries, sentiment and key topics on Professional.
- Integrations. More than 250, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Pipedrive, Intercom, Slack and Zoho.
Aircall's AI receptionist page says its AI receptionist reviews your calendar and schedules, reschedules or cancels appointments during the call, handles conversations in 38 languages, and hands callers to a person with the full transcript and context. Its FAQ says Aircall's AI agents can run through Aircall numbers or through the phone system you already have.
Aircall pricing: what does it cost?
As listed on Aircall's pricing page in October 2026 for the United States, Aircall pricing is:
| Aircall plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Notes from the pricing page |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI Voice Agents (standalone) | $100 per month minimum | $125 per month minimum | AI agents with or without an Aircall phone system |
| Essentials | $30 per license per month | $40 per license per month | Minimum 3 licenses; includes 50 AI Voice Agents minutes a month |
| Professional | $50 per license per month | $70 per license per month | Minimum 3 licenses; adds Power Dialer, smart routing, AI call summaries |
| Enterprise | Custom pricing | Custom pricing | 25-license minimum in the detailed table; lists HIPAA, GDPR and SOC2 compliance, SSO and SCIM |
What else to budget for, from the same page:
- Phone numbers. One local or toll-free number is included; each additional number is $6 a month.
- AI Voice Agents minutes. Beyond the 50 included minutes, pay-as-you-go is $0.49 a minute up to 2,500 minutes and $0.39 after that, according to the AI receptionist page. Prepaid bundles are listed at $175 for 500 minutes a month and $725 for 2,500 minutes a month. New accounts get 100 minutes at sign-up.
- Texting. The detailed table's SMS row says to contact Aircall for rates, and a footnote refers to 4,000 outbound messages per user per month.
- Add-ons. AI Assist Pro at $49 per seat per month, Analytics+ at $15, WhatsApp in Aircall at $10, Aircall for Salesforce Voice at $30, AI Messaging Agents at $0.15 to $0.35 per conversation, and branded caller ID at $0.08 per call.
- International calling. On Essentials and Professional, the table says to contact Aircall for international rates and bundles.
The annual discount is meaningful. Aircall says you save 25% by paying annually, which is the difference between $40 and $30 per license on Essentials.
Why do businesses look for Aircall alternatives?
Looking at alternatives to Aircall is ordinary due diligence. These are the fit questions we hear most.
- The business is a front desk, not a call team. A veterinary clinic or plumbing company spends its phone time booking, confirming and following up. It may value reminders, review requests and text-to-pay more than a power dialer or call whispering.
- The team is small. The three-license minimum on Essentials and Professional means a two-person office pays for three.
- AI minutes are hard to predict. Usage-based AI pricing is fair, but some owners prefer a fixed monthly figure with a known allowance.
- Texting costs are not published. Aircall asks you to contact sales for SMS rates, so owners who text a lot want a quote before they commit.
- Renewal or growth. A contract end date, a second location or a change in call volume is a natural time to compare.
Where does Aircall suit a business better than an all-in-one platform?
This is the honest heart of the comparison. Aircall is a strong fit when the phone is a production line:
- Outbound sales teams. Reps work lists with a Power Dialer, calls log to the CRM automatically, and managers whisper or barge in to coach.
- Support desks. Calls route by account owner or region using CRM or help desk data, callers can request a callback instead of holding, and every call is recorded, transcribed and summarized.
- Teams already invested in a CRM. If Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk or Pipedrive is your system of record, Aircall's integrations do work an all-in-one local-business platform may not do yet.
- Multilingual callers. Aircall lists 38 languages for its AI receptionist.
An all-in-one local-business platform is built for a different day: answering, booking, reminding, collecting payment and asking for a review, all from one customer record. Neither design is better in general. They are built for different jobs.
A quick test: call team or front desk?
Answer these four questions about a normal week:
- Do most calls start with your staff dialing out, or with customers calling in?
- Is your system of record a CRM or help desk, or a calendar of appointments?
- Does a manager listen to live calls to coach, or does the owner mostly need every call answered?
- After a call, is the next step a CRM note, or a reminder, a payment link or a review request?
If most answers point to the first option, you run a call team, and Aircall or a similar call platform is the natural shortlist. If most point to the second, you run a front desk, and an all-in-one platform deserves a demo.
What are the best Aircall alternatives?
Aircall competitors fall into four groups. Pick the group first, then the vendor.
| Category | Examples | Best for | Trade-offs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sales and support call platforms | Dialpad, Aircall | Call teams that work in a CRM or help desk | Front-desk tools such as reminders, reviews and payments are usually separate |
| General cloud phone systems | RingCentral, Nextiva, Ooma, Vonage | Offices that mainly need calling, meetings and team chat | Fewer call-team tools on entry plans; customer-facing tools often separate |
| All-in-one local-business platforms | Weave, Podium, Talos Connect | Local offices that want phones, texting, scheduling, reviews and payments in one place | CRM and practice-system integrations vary widely; bigger switching project |
| AI and live answering services | Smith.ai, Ruby | Businesses that only want calls answered | Does not replace your phone system |

Where Talos Connect is stronger. Front-desk work in one system: two-way business texting, scheduling and reminders, reviews, payments and digital forms. An AI receptionist with a fixed monthly price and 500 included minutes, AI outbound campaigns for recalls and past-due balances, and an after-hours AI text agent ($49/mo). Call Intelligence adds transcripts, summaries, sentiment and missed-opportunity detection for $5 per user. Industry editions cover medical, dental, veterinary, restaurants, home services, law firms, salons and spas, auto repair and professional services. Talos Connect is available to businesses anywhere in the United States, set up and supported remotely.
Where Talos Connect is limited. No CRM, EHR, practice-management or point-of-sale integrations yet. No manual power dialer on the price list. The AI receptionist is AI only, with no human answering service behind it; calls transfer to your own staff on request.

Who should stay with Aircall?
Stay with Aircall if:
- You run an outbound sales team that dials lists and logs every call to a CRM.
- You run a support desk where routing depends on account data in Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk or a similar tool.
- Managers rely on whispering, barge and live monitoring to coach.
- Your callers speak many languages and you want an AI agent that covers them.
- You want AI voice agents on top of a phone system you already have.
- Aircall works well for you today at a price you accept.
If that is you, the cost of switching probably outweighs any savings.
Hypothetical worked example: a five-person team
This example is hypothetical. It uses only list prices published on aircall.io and in the Talos Connect price list on October 12, 2026. It leaves out taxes, regulatory fees, hardware, setup, Aircall SMS rates (quote-based) and international calling. Replace each figure with your written quotes.
Suppose a five-person office where everyone texts customers, and an AI receptionist handles about 500 minutes of calls a month.
Aircall Essentials, five licenses
- Billed annually: 5 x $30 = $150 a month.
- Billed monthly: 5 x $40 = $200 a month.
- AI minutes: 500 used minus 50 included = 450 extra minutes. At $0.49 a minute, 450 x $0.49 = $220.50. Using the 500-minute prepaid bundle instead: $175.
- Annual billing with the bundle: $150 + $175 = $325 a month, or 12 x $325 = $3,900 a year.
Talos Connect, five Standard seats
- Seats: 5 x $24.95 = $124.75.
- One texting number: $10.
- AI receptionist with 500 minutes: $149.
- Monthly: $124.75 + $10 + $149 = $283.75. Over 12 months: 12 x $283.75 = $3,405, plus the $50 one-time texting registration, for $3,455.
On these assumptions, Talos Connect is $3,900 - $3,455 = $445 lower over the year, before Aircall's SMS rates. Now change one assumption. Suppose the team is a sales team that needs a Power Dialer and CRM logging. That means Aircall Professional at 5 x $50 = $250 a month billed annually, and Talos Connect offers neither today. The cheaper total stops mattering, because only one product does the job.
The lesson: price the work you need done, and check that every product on the shortlist can actually do it. Our savings page shows how Talos Connect list prices add up for larger teams.
How do you switch from Aircall?
- Confirm your Aircall billing term, renewal date and any notice period.
- List every number on the account, including toll-free and any numbers tied to campaigns.
- Export call history, recordings and contacts you need to keep, while you still have access.
- Start 10DLC texting registration with the new provider; brand and campaign approval through The Campaign Registry follows the carriers' timeline.
- Submit the port request with details that match your Aircall account exactly.
- Rebuild IVR menus, ring groups, business hours and AI receptionist instructions on temporary numbers, and test them.
- Train staff on the new apps and desk phones before port day.
- Port on a quiet day, keep both systems live until every number is confirmed, then cancel Aircall in writing.
Migration checklist
- Porting: recent bill, account number, port-out PIN if required, authorized contact name, full number list
- Contacts: export with texting opt-out status so anyone who replied STOP stays opted out
- Templates: saved SMS replies, voicemail greetings, IVR scripts and AI agent prompts copied into a document
- Texting registration: brand details, use case, sample messages and opt-in wording for 10DLC
- Integrations: list every workflow that depends on Aircall's CRM or help desk sync, and decide what replaces it
- Recordings and analytics: download what you must retain before access ends
- Hardware: confirm whether desk phones and headsets will work with the new system; Talos Connect sells Yealink desk phones from $89, one-time, through the self-service store
The phones and VoIP page explains how numbers, apps and desk phones work on Talos Connect.
Common mistakes when comparing call center and business phone software
- Comparing a call-team tool with a front-desk tool on price alone. They do different jobs. Decide which job you have first.
- Ignoring license minimums. A three-license minimum changes the math for very small teams.
- Guessing AI usage. Estimate AI minutes from your real call logs, then price the tier or bundle that matches.
- Leaving texting out of the quote. If SMS rates are quote-based, get them in writing before you sign.
- Assuming integrations carry over. CRM logging, routing rules and dashboards built on Aircall do not move automatically.
- Not asking every vendor the same questions. Ask each one, us included, for calling allowances, international rates, contract length and exit terms in writing.
- Cancelling before the port completes. Keep the old service until every number has moved.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Aircall cost?
As listed on Aircall's pricing page in October 2026, Essentials is $30 per license per month billed annually or $40 billed monthly, and Professional is $50 billed annually or $70 billed monthly. Enterprise is custom priced. Both core plans require at least three licenses. AI Voice Agents minutes beyond the 50 included each month are billed by usage.
What are the main Aircall competitors?
Aircall competitors include other sales and support call platforms such as Dialpad, general cloud phone systems such as RingCentral, Nextiva, Ooma and Vonage, all-in-one local-business platforms such as Weave, Podium and Talos Connect, and answering services such as Smith.ai. The right group depends on whether you run a call team or a front desk.
Does Aircall have a minimum number of users?
Yes. Aircall's pricing FAQ says the Essentials and Professional plans require a minimum of three licenses, and its detailed pricing table lists a 25-license minimum for Enterprise. A one- or two-person business would still pay for three licenses on Aircall's core plans, so include that in any cost comparison.
Is Aircall a good fit for a dental office or other local business?
It can be, especially if the office already uses a CRM or help desk that Aircall connects to. Aircall's pricing page focuses on calling, SMS, a shared inbox, analytics, integrations and AI voice agents. Its AI receptionist can call ahead to confirm appointments, but review requests, payments and intake forms are not listed, so a local office may need separate tools for those jobs.
Does Talos Connect have a power dialer like Aircall?
Talos Connect's price list does not include a manual power dialer for sales reps. It offers AI outbound campaigns as a $199 monthly add-on, in which an AI agent places recall, reactivation and past-due balance calls. A sales team that needs reps to work call lists inside a CRM is likely better served by Aircall Professional or a similar platform.
Does Talos Connect connect to HubSpot or Salesforce?
Not yet. Talos Connect does not currently offer CRM, EHR, practice-management or point-of-sale integrations; they are on the roadmap. Contacts, call history, scheduling and AI booking live inside Talos Connect. If automatic CRM logging is central to your team, that is a real reason to stay with Aircall or choose another platform that offers it today.
Can I keep my phone numbers if I leave Aircall?
In most cases yes. US rules generally allow you to port a number to a new provider when the port request matches the current account details. Keep Aircall active until the port is confirmed complete, because cancelling early can release the number. Porting existing numbers to Talos Connect is free.
